Fonicpac's VCI pouches are specifically designed to protect metals from corrosion, oxidation and rust. With an easy-to-apply design, VCI pouches are a place-and-forget type of product whilst they quietly do their work.
Fonicpac's VCI pouches function by releasing invisible and odorless vapors that will gradually coat the surface of a metal. Placing it inside a metal tube or machinery, whilst keeping it closed off, will create a chemical barrier that prevents damage to your items.
Once it has evenly coated the inside of the metal, this protective barrier can last 2 years or more in service before needing maintenance.
Please note that the description listed is a gross generalisation and should not be taken as literal instructions. We ask that clients who intend to utilise VCI pouches consult their in-house engineers for a proper breakdown.
Fonicpac's VCI pouches can be reused provided it remains free from impurities and is within the usage time frame. Once the timeframe has been exceeded, or it has adsorbed moisture or other contaminants, it is best practice to discard it.
To minimise the environmental impact, we recommend the following procedure for disposal of the used VCI pouch. Dispose of according to national and local regulations. The material as supplied can be hazardous. Dispose of used material in accordance with the nature of the contamination.
Below lists some of our most common clay desiccant packs available alongside with its details. For more information about other customizations alongside with their specific images, please contact Dan (0168181089) or email fonicpac@gmail.com for more information.
VCI packs start working as soon as they are removed from their master plastic bag. It is strongly advised that you do not take it out of the bag unless you need to use it. It is used across multiple industries, including but not limited to:
VCI pouches do not work like typical desiccants, but instead create VCI vapours that will coat the surface of the metals that need to be protected. This protects your metals from corrosion, oxidation and rust for at least 2 years.
VCI pouches can be reused should they remain free from impurities and be within the usage time frame. Once the timeframe has been exceeded, or it has adsorbed moisture or other contaminants, it is best practice to replace the VCI pouch for a new one.
Simply put the desired number of VCI pouches inside a sealed environment. The VCI pouch will slowly and gradually release VCI vapours that will coat the inside of the sealed environment.
It is highly recommended that the VCI pouch is in a sealed environment that is clean, airtight and dry for it to function as intended.
After taking out the desired amount of VCI pouches, keep the remaining VCI pouches back in their plastic bag, push out all the air and tie it up with a rubber band. Seal the carton or tin back to prolong its shelf life.
