Additional Information

Fonicpac’s Oxygen Absorber is specifically designed to absorb oxygen instead of moisture. Utilising the natural process of oxidation, it converts oxygen into rust, thus reducing the overall oxygen levels inside the package. Often used in dry perishables and pharmaceutical products, they prevent oxidation, textural change, mold and bacterial growth.

Fonicpac’s Oxygen Absorber comes in two types - 50cc and 100cc. Due to the wholesale nature of our business, we typically sell in cartons rather than in packs. In which, the 50cc oxygen absorber will see 6000pcs/ctn, whilst the 100cc oxygen absorber will see 4000pcs/ctn. However, you may reach out to us at fonicpac@gmail.com or contact Dan (0168181089) for more information regarding the packing itself.

These oxygen absorbers are produced with a new polymer material which can enhance the oxygen-absorbing capacity up to 15-20 times higher than typical oxygen absorbers, effectively decreasing the oxygen levels down to 0.1% within 10 hours.

Fonicpac’s Oxygen Absorber is intended for single-use. To minimise the environmental impact, we recommend the following procedure for disposal of the used packet. Dispose of according to national and local regulations. The material as supplied is not classified as hazardous, dangerous or toxic. Approved landfill sites can be used. Note that used material which is contaminated with process materials may have different hazards/properties from the material as supplied. Dispose of used material in accordance with the nature of the contamination.

Installation, Usage & Storage

Usage

Oxygen Absorber starts working as soon as it's removed from its sealed package. It is strongly advised that you do not take it out of the bag unless you need to use it. It is best used in:

  1. Pharmaceutical goods such as vitamins, drugs, etc;
  2. Perishable dry foods such as chips, pet food, cookies, biscuits, etc.

The oxygen absorber is effective in removing oxygen particles. This effectively reduces the chance of oxidation in products, reducing the growth of mold and bacteria and preventing textural changes.

IMPORTANT USAGE NOTICE

Please be advised that the oxygen absorber is strongly NOT recommended to be used with wet foods, as an oxygen-free environment may promote the growth of dangerous anaerobic bacteria such as Clostridium botulinum, which can cause botulism.

When to Replace

The oxygen absorber is single-use and cannot be regenerated. After it has reached its saturation point of oxygen absorption, simply discard it or recycle it. You can determine its saturation point in one of two ways:

  1. The oxygen absorber packet has become hard and clumpy instead of powdery.
  2. Opening the oxygen absorber produces rust-colored clumps instead of black powder.

Installation

Simply put the desired amount of oxygen absorber into a sealed container of your choice. It is highly recommended that the oxygen absorber be in a sealed container that is both free of moisture and airtight for it to function as intended.

Storage

After taking out the desired amount of oxygen absorber, keep the remaining oxygen absorber in an airtight mason jar or container, or push out the air from the package and seal it back. Keep it in a cool and dry area away from sunlight.

Shelf Life

2 years after the manufacturing date.
