Additional Information

Fonicpac's Container Dry is made with clay desiccant - a type of natural desiccant that is designed to adsorb moisture in a similar manner to silica gel. Due to its nature, clay desiccant is able to adjust its adsorption rate in accordance to its surroundings' relative humidity (RH%).

Specifically designed with preventing container rain in mind, Container Dry is a natural and cost-effective method to deal with moisture damage when it comes to shipments. By hanging the Container Dry in the containers, it adsorbs the moisture that is present in the atmosphere, decreasing moisture levels.

Fonicpac's Container Dry comes in 2 main types: 1.5 kg and 1kg. Clients may request customisation based on the amount of clay desiccant needed - with some clients requesting up to 2kg/strip Container Dry. Should you have a need for such modifications, please reach out to Dan (0168181089) to discuss the details. However, it is to note that as these modifications are not within our typically produced stocks, and thus may require a lead time of up to 2 weeks.

Fonicpac's Container Dry is intended for single use. To minimise the environmental impact, we recommend the following procedure for disposal of the used desiccant. Dispose of according to national and local regulations. The material as supplied is not classified as hazardous, dangerous or toxic. Approved landfill sites can be used. Note that used material which is contaminated with process materials may have different hazards/properties from the material as supplied. Dispose of used material in accordance with the nature of the contamination.

Container Dry utilises clay desiccant as its active ingredient, which is a naturally abundant ingredient that poses no significant risk to the environment. Installation, Usage & Storage

Usage

Container Dry starts working as soon as it is removed from a box master PE bag. It is strongly advised that you do not take it out of the bag unless you need to use it. Designed with a hook, it is best used in:

  1. Cargo Containers (Shipping & Storage)
  2. Warehouses

Container Dry is effective in controlling moisture inside a shipping container where fluctuating temperatures and moisture levels are present. This protects your cargo and sensitive goods from moisture damage such as container rain, structural deterioration, mold and mildew.

Container Dry is single-use and cannot be regenerated. After it has reached its saturation point of moisture adsorption, simply discard it or recycle it. You can determine its saturation point in one of two ways:

  1. Container Dry has an average moisture adsorption capacity of 35%. Simply weigh the fresh Container Dry before usage, then add 35% of the weight to the measurement. The summed weight would represent the Container Dry's mass when it has reached its saturation point.
  2. Container Dry has changed from dry pellet forms into a damp, cold, soft, muddy and crumbly state.

Installation

Container Dry comes with a hook that allows for easy installation. Simply break off the hook at the bottom of the plastic clip, and clip it together to allow the Container Dry to be hooked on an edged surface. It is highly recommended that Container Dry be hung in a relatively high place, in an airtight environment.

Storage

After taking out the desired amount of Container Dry, simply squeeze out the air from the master PE-bag and tie it up. Taping the box after use is recommended. Keep in a cool and dry area away from sunlight.
