Fonicpac’s molecular sieve is a highly specialised form of desiccant that is intended to be used in heavy industries. Packing can come in a few forms:
Fonicpac’s molecular sieve can find multiple uses with regeneration, but shall be discarded once it starts to degrade. To minimise the environmental impact, we recommend the following procedure for disposal of the used desiccant. Dispose of according to national and local regulations. The material as supplied is not classified as hazardous, dangerous or toxic. Approved landfill sites can be used. Note that used material which is contaminated with process materials may have different hazards/properties from the material as supplied. Dispose of used material in accordance with the nature of the contamination.

Molecular sieve is a highly specialised form of desiccant that is meant to filter and isolate certain molecules from a mixture. It is used across multiple industries, including but not limited to:
We ask that clients who intend to utilise molecular sieves consult their in-house engineers for a proper breakdown of the usage of molecular sieves.
The loading process of the molecular sieve has a great influence on the performance of the molecular sieve. An improper loading process will cause the pores of the molecular sieve to be permanently destroyed.
When the pores of the molecular sieve are destroyed, even through regeneration, the adsorption capacity of the molecular sieve cannot be recovered.
Please note that the description listed is a gross generalisation and should not be taken as literal instructions. We ask that clients who intend to utilise molecular sieves to consult their in-house engineers for a proper breakdown.
Workers loading molecular sieves should wear work clothes and masks to avoid inhalation of dust. An oxygen mask must be worn when operating in the adsorption tower. Please refer to our SDS for more information.
Molecular sieve has a strong water absorption capacity. Thus, it cannot be directly exposed to the air before loading, or it will adsorb water vapour and CO2 in the air and affect its adsorption performance.
Molecular sieve should be loaded in a dry, no oil mist, no corrosive gas environment. Avoid loading molecular sieves in rainy weather.
Clean the adsorption tower to ensure it is dry and free of contaminants before loading.
Before loading the molecular sieve, it is necessary to replace the air in the adsorption tower with N2 and load it under the condition of continuous N2 supplementation in the adsorption tower.
Before opening the molecular sieve drum, check whether the packaging barrel is damaged, whether the clamp is loose or falling off. After confirming that the sealing is complete, open the packaging barrel and load it quickly.
After loading, the adsorption tower should be shaken in time to ensure that the molecular sieve is tightly packed in the adsorption tower.
After loading, the adsorption tower should be sealed immediately to isolate it from the air.
After taking out the desired amount of molecular sieve, keep the remaining molecular sieve back into its drum. Keep in a cool, dry area. Avoid sunlight. Regenerate before use if storage is long.
